If you know me, you know that I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. And you may also know that ice cream is one of my favorite sweets. Since real ice cream is full of sugar and made with milk (not fun for the lactose-intolerant folks like myself), I don’t eat it very often. Instead, I make my own to beat those cravings and not feel guilty about it!
WHAT YOU NEED:
A food processor or blender of some sort
2 frozen bananas
1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
2 TBSP. peanut-butter
1/2 TBSP. cocoa powder
1-2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (depends on what kind of protein you use and how big your scooper is. Should be about 1/2 cup or protein powder)
*makes 2 servings
WHAT TO DO:
Put all of your ingredients in the food processor in the order they are listed.
Blend together until well-combined (15-20 seconds); should be the consistency of a milkshake. If it’s not quite thick enough, pop it in the freezer for a little bit to give it more of an ice cream consistency.
Serve in cute little ice cream bowls or mugs and enjoy!

*One thing to note - this recipe does not freeze very well for an extended period of time. I don't recommend making it in large batches ahead of time. As long as you have frozen bananas, it's quick and easy enough that you should be able to make it on the spot!
